For residents of Bear Valley and the Town of Bear Creek
What you can do
Most of the decisions on BECI are still ahead. Here is how to be heard while they are made.

Go to MGS's second round of open houses
MGS plans a second round of public open houses in late fall 2026, and expects to refine and finalize its routes by the end of the year. It is the last round on MGS's schedule before routes are finalized. Attend, ask where Segment 10 stands, and send your comments to MGS in writing. We will post the dates here.

Get updates from BVCC
We post open-house dates, filing deadlines and new maps as soon as we have them.
-
Ask MGS for maps of your own parcels
MGS has not published centerlines, tower locations or easement widths. Ask in writing for maps of your parcels showing each of these, and keep a copy of your request.

Contact your state legislators
Ask them to see that Wis. Stat. § 1.12(6) is honored, and to support siting reform such as the planned reintroduction of SB 1125, which would require lines of 345 kV and above to use consolidated utility corridors.

Comment to the PSC when MGS files
MGS expects to apply to the PSC in early 2027. The PSC first checks that the application is complete. It then prepares an environmental impact statement, with public comment on what the study should cover and later on the draft. It holds public hearings near the routes before it decides.
Written comments go through the case's public comment form on the PSC website while a comment period is open, and become part of the record the commissioners review. Comment only through these public channels, not to commissioners directly. Groups can also ask to join the case as a party and may request intervenor compensation (Wis. Stat. § 196.31), which must be requested early in the case.
We will post the docket number and each comment period here.

Record what is on your land
Photograph springs, wetlands, wildlife and old trees, with dates. Report rare species to the DNR Natural Heritage Inventory, which the developer is required to check.
Regional coalition
No 765 Line, Inc. tracks both the BECI and MariBell lines across southern Wisconsin and publishes the developers' route data.
